VTA Major Service Changes

Due to the decline in economic conditions, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will implement routing and frequency service changes beginning January 11, 2010.
After an extensive public input process, VTA revised its original service reduction plan to
include the public’s comment and implement some of the changes noted below:

Route Changes

Line 33 and 47 combined to provide improved east-west service
in Milpitas
Line 42 extended to Menard Drive
Line 81 will only operate between Cupertino Square and
Santa Clara Transit Center on weekends

Discontinued Saturday Service

VTA Bus Lines 11 and 13

Discontinued Sunday Service

VTA Bus Lines 13, 42, 43, 45 and 46

Schedule and/or Frequency Changes

VTA Light Rail; and Bus Lines 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 31, 32, 34, 35, 37, 39, 40, 42, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 51, 53, 54, 55, 57, 58, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 68, 70, 71, 72, 73, 77, 81, 82, 88, 89, 101, 104, 121, 140, 168, 180, 181, 304, 328, 330 and the DASH Shuttle.
